Police set to arraign Police Officers for allegedly killing of a Mechanic and torturing of other four in Rivers

Hope it's not because Civil Society want to wear black to protest on July 9?

Or is the #JusticeForChima finally coming to fulfilment?

After months of online protest in demand of justice for Ikoku four and for late Chima Ikwunado, the Rivers State Police command led by Commissioner of Police, CP Joseph G. Mukan psc (+) have set to arraigned the Officers from the Eagle Crack Squad who allegedly tortured late Chima Ikwunado to death in December 2019 and unlawfully inflicted various degrees of injuries on, Ifeanyi Onyekwere 'm', Ogbonna Victor 'm', Ifeanyi Osuji 'm' and Osaze Friday 'm' have been dismissed by the Rivers State Police Command and will be charged to Court tomorrow for Conspiracy and Murder, among other Charges.

In the statement released by the Police Public Relation Officer (PPRO) Rivers State Command, DSP Nnamdi Omoni, "the Officers who had gone through the processes of Orderly Room Trials were today de-kitted and dismissed from the Force, hence their arraignment."

"The Dismissal of today is an eloquent demonstration of his transparency and avowed commitment to entrench Discipline in the Command, while appealing to the public to remain steadfast and continue to have Faith in the Police, by assisting us with useful information that will enhance our job. Adding that his doors are open, as he welcomes constructive criticisms." The statement conclude.
