Good news as more COVID-19 Patients are discharged from Edo State isolation centres

As the world keep fighting the corona virus pandemic, there is always joy whenever a news of someone recovered from the deadly disease.

Today, the Edo State Governor, Godwin Obaseki took to his social media page to announced that more Covid-19 patients have been discharged from the State isolation centres.

According to the Governor, eleven (11) Patients were discharged bringing it to 253 patients recovered in the State.

Unfortunately, Governor Obaseki said one death was recorded.

He advised that the population of elderly are most vulnerable and must be protected from the deadly disease this period.

According to his post on Twitter, the Governor wrote: "We have discharged 11 more #COVID19 patients from the state’s isolation centres, bringing the number of recoveries to 253.

However, we recorded one (1) more death.

Our elderly population are most vulnerable and must be protected this period.

Please stay safe."

As at 9:00am today, Edo State have recorded the total of 817 confirmed cases, 532 active cases, 253 discharged and unfortunately, 32 persons have lost their lives as the result of the disease.

This is a good news for the State today. Please everyone, stay safe, maintain social distancing, use alcohol base hand sanitizer, use nose mask and follow all the precautionary measures prescribed by World Health Organization (WHO).
