Kofi Bartels has been honoured by the Port Harcourt Comedy Club in recognition for his brevery in journalism and contribution to radio broadcasting.

Kofi, a Port Harcourt based Presenter with a radio station in his acknowledgement for the award through his post on social media thank the organiser of the comedy club, Angle D'laff and his Club for recognising him, said, it means a great deal to be recognised.

According to Kofi Bartels; "A big thanks to Angel d' Laff and PH Comedy Club for the Award of Recognition for “Bravery In Journalism and Immense Contribution to Radio Broadcasting”. It means a great deal to be recognized and encouraged for your work."

"I dedicate this to my fellow journalists doing their work without fear or favour, especially my colleagues on 92.3 Nigeria Info, Port Harcourt."

"The PH Comedy Club is the biggest in West Africa and holds every first Monday of the month at Platinum Club, Hotel Presidential, Port Harcourt, Nigeria." He concluded.
Mr Bartels has been at the center of numerous controversies in recent times because of his bravely nature in discharging his duties when on radio with the recent accusation of him being paid 5 million Naira to undermine and destabilize Rivers State Police Command using  the case of late Chima Ikwunado, the Mechanic allegedly killed in Police custody in Port Harcourt and the Ikoku four.
