5 Nights Of Glory: Pastor David Ibiyeomie preached on 'The Making Of Abraham'

It was indeed a night of Power at the Salvation Ministries 2020 edition of 5 Nights Of Glory with thousands of people gathered at the Church headquarters in Port Harcourt on Monday, 20th January, 2020.

During his teaching on the theme: "God The Maker Of Man", the founder and the senior Pastor of the Church, Pastor David Ibiyeomie preached on the topic; "The Making Of Abraham."

Below is the excerpts of his day 1 message:

"God spoke everything into existence but when it came to us (man) He made us in His own image - Genesis 1:26. The making of any man is in connecting with His maker.

"Your beauty and colour will never emerge until you connect to your maker. Whatever is missing in your life will be replaced by the maker who made you. When God makes you, your taking over is guaranteed.

"You dominate the day you Know your source (which is God). You cannot follow God and not be made - Matthew 4:19. God is the maker of man.

"Your background is not enough to keep your back on the ground. God is never late; His timing is always perfect - Galatians 3:14.

Some Outstanding Qualities of Abraham:

1. He was a man of obedience - Isaiah 51:2, Genesis 12:1,4.

"Obedience is the strongest currency in the kingdom of God - John 2:5.

"There is no substitute for obedience. Every blessing of God is tied to the obedience of His instructions.

"The end product of obedience is a divine manifestation - Philippians 2:8,9. If you want to enjoy the blessings of Abraham, learn to obey.

2. He was a man of faith - Romans 4:17 - 21.

"Faith is being fully persuaded of the word of God( which is the truth) until it performs.

"Faith is standing on the integrity of God's word that permits Him to perform what He has declared - Numbers 23:19. Never doubt God. He speaks based on His capacity to perform. The source of faith is the Word of God - Romans 10:17.

3. He was a man of love and hospitality - Hebrews 3:1, 2.

"Abraham was a man of love and hospitality.

"The world is waiting for our hospitality, just like Abraham. Hospitable people forgive easily. Learn to be compassionate even to strangers. Hospitable people are also cheerful givers.

Reasons People are not Hospitable:

a. Biological family background - Genesis 14:14.

b. Wrong orientation or philosophies about giving - Proverbs 11:24, Colossians 2:8.

c. Lack of faith - 1 Kings 17:11.

d. The kind of environment people finds themselves - 1 Corinthians 15:33.

e. Ignorance of the provisions of God in the area of giving - Genesis 8:22, Proverbs 10:4, Luke 6:38.

4. He was a giver - Genesis 12:2, 22:1-18.

Every time God tells you to give, He wants to lift you. Giving is the best way to keep living.

The giving process keeps the blessing channels open. Giving is proof you have conquered greed. Abraham was a thither 2 Corinthians 5:7.

5. He was a father - Genesis 18:19.

"Abraham was an exemplary father. He knew the right way, went the right way, showed the family the right way and they went the right way - Genesis 18:19.

"An exemplary father knows the right way, shows the right way so that he and his family can go the right way. An exemplary family refines himself so that his family can also be refined. Abraham showed his children how to fear God.

"As long as you think you can, God cannot step in. God manifests at the point where you totally depend on Him and not yourself - John 12:24. It is better for God to commend you than for men to recommend you.

"To enjoy Abrahamic blessings, you must be totally sold out to God and His Kingdom."

Don't miss 5 Nights of Glory day 2, tomorrow.
