How to prevent CoronaVirus (COVID-19). 11 Ways

How to prevent CoronaVirus (COVID-19). 10 Ways
According to World Health Organisation, Coronaviruses (CoV) are a large family of viruses that cause illness ranging from the common cold to more severe diseases such as Middle East Respiratory Syndrome (MERS-CoV) and Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS-CoV).

A novel coronavirus (nCoV) is a new strain that has not been previously identified in humans.

Coronaviruses are zoonotic, meaning they are transmitted between animals and people.  Detailed investigations found that SARS-CoV was transmitted from civet cats to humans and MERS-CoV from dromedary camels to humans. Several known coronaviruses are circulating in animals that have not yet infected humans.

Common signs of infection include respiratory symptoms, fever, cough, shortness of breath and breathing difficulties. In more severe cases, infection can cause pneumonia, severe acute respiratory syndrome, kidney failure and even death.

CORONA VIRUS PREVENTION:

1. Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds. If soap and water are NOT available, use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer.

2. Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth with unwashed hands.

3. Cover your cough or sneeze with a tissue, then throw the tissue in the trash.

4. Avoid close contact with people who are sick.

5. Clean and disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces.

6. Stay home when you are sick.

7. Thoroughly cook meat and eggs.

8. No unprotected contact with live wild or farm animals.

9. Avoid close contact with anyone with cold or flu-like symptoms.

10. Clean all “high-touch” surfaces everyday.

11. Wear a facemask.
