Police set to arraign Police Officers for allegedly killing of a Mechanic and torturing of other four in Rivers

Hope it's not because Civil Society want to wear black to protest on July 9?

Or is the #JusticeForChima finally coming to fulfilment?

After months of online protest in demand of justice for Ikoku four and for late Chima Ikwunado, the Rivers State Police command led by Commissioner of Police, CP Joseph G. Mukan psc (+) have set to arraigned the Officers from the Eagle Crack Squad who allegedly tortured late Chima Ikwunado to death in December 2019 and unlawfully inflicted various degrees of injuries on, Ifeanyi Onyekwere 'm', Ogbonna Victor 'm', Ifeanyi Osuji 'm' and Osaze Friday 'm' have been dismissed by the Rivers State Police Command and will be charged to Court tomorrow for Conspiracy and Murder, among other Charges.

In the statement released by the Police Public Relation Officer (PPRO) Rivers State Command, DSP Nnamdi Omoni, "the Officers who had gone through the processes of Orderly Room Trials were today de-kitted and dismissed from the Force, hence their arraignment."

"The Dismissal of today is an eloquent demonstration of his transparency and avowed commitment to entrench Discipline in the Command, while appealing to the public to remain steadfast and continue to have Faith in the Police, by assisting us with useful information that will enhance our job. Adding that his doors are open, as he welcomes constructive criticisms." The statement conclude.

Frustrated pregnant women storms OPM free hospital, plead for reopening of the hospital

Pregnant women numbering more than 20 were this morning stormed the free hospital owned and operated by the Omega Power Ministries. BelieveSpot reports

At the gate of the Ministries owned free hospital sited in ALUU community in Rivers State, the pregnant women were seen lamenting and pleading that the hospital which according to them, have given them hope for living.

The frustrated pregnant women waiting at the locked gate of OPM free hospital, therefore plead with the founder and senior Pastor of the Omega Power Ministries, Apostle Chibuzor Gift Chinyere to reconsider and reopen the hospital.

Recall that Apostle Chibuzor was on Saturday July 4, during his media briefing lament that the hospital would be shout down.

According to him, the hosting ALUU community heavily levied the free hospital which have given hope to pregnant women in the Community, especially, the poor who wouldn't afford proper medical care and fee.

On Sunday, the Pastor also announced that the hospital will be relocating to Ogoni.

With the latest development, it is obvious the management of OPM free hospital will reconsider and reopen the hospital and continue its operations in ALUU land.

Police uncovers a soakaway filled with about twenty corpses in Rivers (VIDEO)

The Police in Rivers State has just uncovered a soakaway filled up with about twenty corpses in Jesus Avenue, Umuebule in Etche Local Government Area of Rivers State.
The suspected killer and owner of premises where the corpses were discovered is a trader in Ogbunabali Road, Port Harcourt City.

The discovery was made when a trader from Aba in Abia State left the address and phone number of the suspect with his wife upon departure to collect the sum of N500,000 being cost of goods supplied to the suspect on credit on invitation to collect at his(suspect’s) house.

After waiting for 48 hours without seeing her husband back the wife of the victim was said to have reported to the Police who went into investigation.

On interrogation the suspect took the Police to his house where five fresh corpses were recovered from a 20ft suck away exclusively dug for dumping of corpses.

The pit said to have been dug in 2016 has about 15 more corpses yet to be recovered.

Nigerian Actress, Genevieve Nnaji have reacted after it was announced by The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences that she is now a member on an Academy Award [Oscars] voting member.

Genevieve Nnaji, the director of “Lionheart,” and “Road to Yesterday” took to the social media to acknowledged her invitation to be a member of the prestigious academy award member.

Imo State born actress wrote; "I'm honoured to be a member of the family. Thank you TheAcademy."

Genevieve Nnaji is a Nigerian actress, producer, and director. She won the Africa Movie Academy Award for Best Actress in a Leading Role in 2005, making her the first actor to win the award.

In 2019, Lionheart which she produced in 2018 film becomes the first Nigeria film to be submitted to the Oscars

This period when some people are doing anything possible to keep their job because of the situations in the world because of pandemic.

An internet User have lost his job for masturbating at work.

The social media Users, Twitter specifically, was surprised after a User posted that me was sacked from from after he was caught masturbating in the office toilet.

Lucidnoa in his post said he was caught in action which resulted him been sacked from his office.

In his post which has gotten much attention, he wrote; "Sacked today because I was caught masturbating in the toilet at the office."
Meanwhile, many internet Users have reacted to his post one follower saying "No privacy? Glad you don't work in such a place anymore" and another user asking "was he supposed to be masturbating at work?"

Pastor George is known for his eloquency on pulpit.

He is married to Manuela George-Izunwa. She was appointed former Governor of Rivers State, Rt. Hon. Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi to serve as Commissioner of Women Affairs.

Access Bank responds to their Customers after strange debit alerts

Access Bank Nigeria has responded to their Customers after they complained of "strange" debit alerts from the Bank.

Many ank customers had taken to the social media to lament after their accounts was debited unfairly but the Customer Care section of the bank in its wisdom responded to their complaints.

Below are some of the complaints as captured on social media:

"I don't understand the debits made by access bank on customers accounts in the name of stamp duty more than once. What exactly is going on?"

In response, the bank replied by explaining that "The statutory stamp duty charge on deposits and electronic transfers in accordance with the Finance Act, N50 will be charged on all electronic transfers and cash deposits of N10,000 and above into accounts as long as the transfer or deposit is made by a third party."

Another Customer who wanted to know what the stamp duty was asked; "Access Bank, what is portal stamp duty, cos I got charge for this, wanna know?

In response, the Bank replied; "we appreciate your concerns. The statutory stamp duty charge on deposits and electronic transfers in accordance with the Finance Act, N50 will be charged on all electronic transfers and cash deposits of N10,000 and above into accounts as long as the transfer or deposit is made by a third party ."
